Year 2023 – Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS)

Applications for the 2023 AEIS start from 9am on Tuesday, 11 July 2023. It ends at 12pm on Monday, 24 July 2023, or earlier if all places for the AEIS tests are filled. AEIS tests are conducted in Singapore on Thursday, 14 September 2023 and Friday, 15 September 2023.

From the 2022 AEIS, we no longer offer the English test for international students seeking admission into our primary schools. Your child must take the relevant Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) test run by Cambridge Assessment English (CAE), and meet or exceed the required scores before they register for the AEIS-Primary Mathematics test.

There is no change in format for the AEIS-Secondary tests.

About AEIS

The Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) is for international students seeking admissions to Primary 2 to 5 and Secondary 1 to 3 in the following academic year.

Eligibility criteria for Primary School Applicants

1. Take the relevant paper-based Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) test run by Cambridge Assessment English (CAE).
2. Meet or exceed the required Cambridge English Scale (CES) score (listed below) in the CEQ test before they apply to take the AEIS-Primary Mathematics test appropriate for their age.

The age listed below as at 1 January in the year of admission. Your child should not be more than 2 years older than the appropriate age for that level.
