School Curriculum Introduction

As Singapore’s only private education institution offering both Primary and Secondary level classes, SYAS administers the Singapore curriculum via an integrated pedagogy. In addition to the academic, students will be enriched by a dynamic curriculum that includes, but is not limited to, spiritual enrichment, the philosophy of sports and social decorum. This is guided by our long-standing philosophical belief: Sanyu（三育） or “Three Education” of Mind, Body and Soul.

SYAS conducts a comprehensive primary school programme, offering academic subjects from Primary 1 to 6. Eligible Primary 6 students go on to take the Ministry of Education Primary School Leaving Examinations, or PSLE.

The school offers four years of secondary level education at the Express Stream leading up to the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education, or GCE, “O” level examinations. Eligible international students who do not wish to take the PSLE, the school offers a Preparatory Secondary 1 Foundation course to prepare students for Secondary 1 based on syllabi formulated by the Ministry of Education.

Upon completing the Secondary Education and obtaining GCE ‘O’ Level pass, students will be able to proceed to higher level of education, such as:
