The Singapore-Cambridge ‘A’ Level Examinations are national level assessments jointly organised and conducted by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) and the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicates.
The ‘A’ Level certificate itself is an internationally recognized qualification that can be used to apply for tertiary education, colleges and universities in the Commonwealth countries and in the United States of America. Local universities, polytechnics and private institutes also require prospective students to possess the ‘A’ Level certificate for the admission.
The Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level is designed to equip students who aspire to achieve the academic prerequisites to progress their journey to university. Private candidates are allowed to take a maximum of 9 subjects.

The duration of this preparatory course is ranging from 10 to 16 months. The full-time course fees range from approximately $8,000 (Singaporean or PR) to $18,000 (International student).
Admission Criteria
- 3 Credits in GCE ‘O’ Level locally or foreign equivalent qualification result
- Minimum Age: 17 (as at 1st January of the year of GCE ‘A’ Level examinations)
- Language Proficiency: English Language
Upon passing and obtaining results for the exam, students may opt to pursue their tertiary education in polytechnics, private institutes, local or overseas universities.
